Fight Career Boredom
Are you at work right now? Maybe you’re taking a break to read some blogs, or maybe you’re surfing the Net because you're outright bored with your job.
According to this article by career counselor Ramon Greenwood, there is a difference between being bored with some of your tasks and boredom with your job in general. The former is normal and can be remedied by taking a break -- maybe even wasting time by posting on a message board or trying some fun tests. (I get so sucked into these things! When going to the site to grab the URL, I just had to find out who my type is. By the way, it’s Goofball. My husband will be proud.)
But being bored with every aspect of your work can lead to job burnout. So what can you do?
