Are Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise Really Worth Their Salaries?
It pays to be a celebrity. Whether you’re in the movies or just happen to be a successful athlete, if you’re a household name, chances are you’re not starving. But are celebrities really worth their weight in gold?
A recent Entertainment Weekly article examines this question. With the current rise in film-production costs and online piracy, for instance, securing a big movie star for tens of millions of dollars is becoming a questionable investment. Think about it: Did you run to see Bewitched or Basic Instinct 2?
This makes one wonder: What’s the next breed of well-paid celebrity? Will they be folks whose online videos turn hyper-viral? Will companies start shelling out beaucoup de bucks to these so-called LCD-screen stars? (Speaking of which, check out our celebrity career advice videos here.)

Like any other employee in a capitalistic world, they are paid what the market will bear.

I have been using this website for awhile and I find it is the most un user unfriendly job site. Im sick or all the advertisements that I have to say no thanks to just to get jop openings. I would think that a site like this would be more professional but I can't even see the jobs that I have applied for. Honestly I think Monster sucks and it has gone way down as far as respect and the reputation it once had. Im done with them!

I stumbled across your blog while I was in the process of doing some online research. Let's not just pick on these two. Are ANY celebrities really worth the money they're given? Do they work harder than the average Joe? Are they more talented? More industrious? Usually not.
